HOW DOES THE LASER TAG WORK?

Our version of laser tag is more advanced, complex and super-charged than traditional venues. We are the largest laser tag in Ohio, if not the entire Midwest, featuring three arenas. Combatants can choose from 7 different realistic replica weapons and can play 25 different missions. Friendly-fire counts and combatants have a limited amount of life. We combine the best elements of laser tag, paintball, video games and action movies.

DO WE GET THE LASER TAG ARENA TO OURSELVES?

Most combatants participate in OPEN PLAY, and play with the general public. You may book an event and pay for a Private Sentry ($100/hr) to run missions just for your group during open hours or you may also rent the entire facility during off hours. For special events, we will close during open hours to host a private party.

WHO CAN PLAY LASER TAG?

The games are designed for ages 8 and up, although we can accommodate younger combatants with assistance from their parents. About half of our participants are kids/teens and the rest adults. It's also about 50/50 between men and women.

IS THE LASER TAG SAFE?

Coliseum X works very hard to provide a safe environment for our guests. We do not have projectiles and the lasers use an infrared beam like a TV remote control. Our Sentries monitor each mission from inside the arenas to ensure all rules are followed and reinforced.

IS THERE ANY SPECIAL LASER TAG TRAINING?

Training is only required before your very first mission. You will not have to sit through training every time you play. It lasts 3-5 minutes, depending on questions.

WHAT LASER TAG EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?

Comfortable clothes and a pair of closed-toe shoes (athletic shoes recommended)

DO I NEED TO RENT LASER TAG EQUIPMENT?

Everything you need for a successful mission is included - no extra costs. If you would like to store your personal items, we do have locker rentals available.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN COLISEUM X LASER TAG, PAINTBALL OR AIRSOFT?

First and foremost, no projectiles, no welts, no pain. The laser technology also enables us to accurately replicate a specific weapon's characteristics. Our shotguns spray like real ones, the MP4 has greater range, the P90 more ammo. The technology also prevents "KIA" combatants from continuing to fire their weapons and cheating. We are indoor and climate-controlled. You don't have to worry about rain-outs, cold weather, darkness. We're open year round, days and nights.

I HAVE A PHYSICAL DISABILITY, CAN I PLAY LASER TAG?

We hope so! All of our arenas are on one floor - no stairs, no ramps. We have multiple weapons, including pistols. Our missions require team work and not everyone has to quickly move around. Some team members may take on roles that require them to be stationary. We've had participants in wheelchairs, on crutches, in casts, and pregnant. Please call us to discuss or to arrange a free tour - we'll figure it out together!

HOW MANY DIFFERENT ARENAS/MAPS DO YOU HAVE?

Three - The Warehouse, Main Street, and The House. Each is about 5,000 sf, larger than the single room in most other places. Some more informatoin about each arena is listed here.

HOW MANY DIFFERENT GUNS DO YOU HAVE?

We have eight (8) different weapons to choose from. You can choose a different weapon for each game. The weapons and details are listed here.

HOW MANY DIFFERENT MISSIONS DO YOU HAVE?

CAN I PICK THE MISSION FOR MY GROUP?

When open to the public, Coliseum X is a shared experience with other guests, much like a movie theatre. Our staff follows a mission rotation schedule to ensure everyone plays a variety of missions and doesn't repeat any on that visit. However, if a private event is booked off-hours, we can pre-select some missions for your group.

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR LASER TAG?

Walk-ins are $26 for a 3-mission bundle; Parties are $250 for 10 people. More info can be found here.

IS THERE A DEPOSIT?

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit. Should you need to reschedule we can find another time for you.

CAN I RESERVE A TIME WITHOUT A DEPOSIT?

A deposit must be placed to reserve the time. There is only one event per time slot on any given day.

WHAT IF I LOSE OR GAIN PEOPLE COMPARED TO MY INITIAL RESERVATION?

Laser tag parties are a flat rate for the party, whether you have 7,8,9 or 10. We can add a few more people to the party. The cist is $20 for kids and $25 for adults, per person.

CAN I RESCHEDULE?

Yes - we understand life can get in the way sometimes.

WHAT ID I DON"T WANT THE ARCADE CARDS? CAN YOU JUST KEEP THEM AND LOWER THE PACKAGE PRICE?

The arcade cards are free add-ons as an extra bonus. They do not have to be used the day of the event. If not used, they can be gifted to a friend or family member.

DO YOU HAVE PRIVATE ROOMS?

We do not have private rooms, but we do have reserved seating areas in our main reception area. Your seating is reserved for the entire time of the party, not just 30 minutes after the activity.

HOW MUCH SEATING IS AVAILABLE?

A ten person party will be have 3 tables of four(4) reserved.

HOW DO WE SIGN WAIVERS?

We have digital waivers that can be found online or they can be completed at a kiosk in the store. If a party is booked, the host will receive a digital invitation with a link to the waivers? Waivers are valid for two years.

CAN I JUST FILL OUT A PAPER WAIVER?

We do not have paper waivers. The digital waiver only takes about 3 minutes. Waivers are valid for two years.

HOW DOES THE AXE THROWING WORK?

It's like Darts, but Extreme! Once everyone successfully sticks an axe, we'll teach you some games like 21, Countdown, Around the World, Cornhole, Humans vs Zombies, Killers/Cutthroat and more! You can play 1 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3, etc. We'll also teach you how to play a 10-throw league style match and you can go for the high score!

DO WE GET THE AXE LANES TO OURSELVES?

If you book as a group (5 or more), you are guaranteed to one enclosed axe pit with two dedicated lanes.

WHO CAN THROW AXES? Minimum Age?

The minimum age is 13; 17 and under must be accompanied by a supervising adult. If a teen group event is booked (5 or more) at least 1 adult for every 10 teens must be present in the axe arenas. Both men and women throw axes equally well.

IS THE AXE THROWING SAFE?

Coliseum X works very hard to provide a safe environment for our guests. Our Sentries coach participants on safety rules and actively monitor the axe throwing to ensure all rules are followed and reinforced. We've never had an injury from a flying axe and our lanes were designed to comply with the national standards.

IS THERE ANY SPECIAL AXE THROWING TRAINING?

Yes!! We spend whatever time is necessary to ensure you stick an axe. We teach two-handed throwing first (the easiest) and if you want to try one-handed, we'll train that, too.

IS AXE THROWING HARD?

That is a hard question to answer, and "it depends." It's all about form, not strength. If you can throw a ball with some skill, you will pick this up quickly. Many people learn to stick in their first 5 throws. Some take longer, but no one has left without sticking an axe. The owners' Moms are both 70+ and both learned how to stick their first time. The local Mom had her 70th birthday party here and beat some of her grandkids!

ARE THE AXES REAL?

You betcha! They aren't sharp enough to shave or cut on contact, but they will stick into a board with a solid throw.

WHAT AXE EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?

Comfortable clothes and a pair of closed-toe shoes (athletic shoes recommended).

DO I NEED TO RENT AXES?

We provide everything you need except the closed-toe shoes. If you forget a pair, we can loan you some Crocs and we have socks for sale (thanks, but we don't want them back!). If you would like to store your personal items, we do have locker rentals available.

CAN I BRING MY OWN AXE?

Only Coliseum X provided axes are permitted in the facility

CAN I ENJOY ALCOHOL WHEN THROWING AXES?

Yes, but no double fisting! All food and beverage must be consumed outside the axe throwing pits. We do not overserve and all axe throwing is monitored in-person and on video. Be responsible, be an adult and have fun!

WHAT IS THE PRICE?

Axe Throwing is $22/hour/person for walk-ins. Groups of 5 or more can throw for 1.5 hours for $30/person

CAN I ADD KNIFE THROWING OR DO I NEED TO BUY IT FROM THE START?

You can add knife throwing to a package; it's $5 per person

I DON"T WANT TO PURCHASE THE WHOLE HOUR, CAN I JUST BUY 30 MINUTES?

Axe throwing is only sold in 1 hour blocks for walk-ins. It allows for the training, familiarization and intorduction to the many types of games that can be played.

HOW DOES NERF WORK? HOW DO YOU PLAY

It's similar to Dodgeball, but easier on the arms and with softer balls.

DOES IT HURT?

You feel the hit, but it doesn't leave a bruise like dodgeball or paintball. It feels like getting tapped with a purpose.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?

Recommended for ages 8 and up, but it depends on the kid's ability to load the gun and prime firing mechanism. They are mechanical guns (not motorized) and some effort is required.

WILL MY GROUP PLAY WITH STRANGERS?

All group events are private.

IS IT SUPERVISED?

A Coliseum X Sentry will supervise the Nerf games at all times, act as referee and game manager.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY AT ONE TIME?

10 players, total - 5 on a side. Groups with more than 10 guests will have to rotate.

HOW LONG DO THE GAMES LAST?

We have several battle scenarios with different objectives. Each battle usually lasts 2-4 minutes. Groups should be able to play 8-10 battles during one party/event.

CAN I BRING MY OWN GUN?

Coliseum X provides standard guns and ammo for all group events. However, if a group wants to bring their own guns and ammo, they must do so for all participants. Personal equipment will not be mixed with Coliseum X equipment. We want to keep game play fair for everyone.

WHAT TYPES OF GUNS DO YOU USE?

We use the Adventure Force Blast 6 guns with foam darts.

HOW BIG IS THE ARENA?

The dedicated Nerf Arena is about 1,400 square feet with multiple obstacles. It's close quarters combat, so rifles are not encouraged.

HOW CAN I WATCH?

Like all of our Combat Arenas, the Nerf Arena is on our video feed and can be watched from the reception area while you are enjoying food, beverages, Sports on TVs and free Wi-Fi.

WILL WE GET RESERVED SEATING?

Yes - all group events receive reserved seating for the entire event (2+ hours). You won't have to stand and walk around while people play.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR NERF?

The Nerf area is booked as a COMBO for up to 10 people. You can play with as little as 2 people, or up to 10 - it's all the same price for a laser tag combo at $299. With Axe throwing, it's $35/person, for any number between 5 and 12.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR NERF?

Ten (10) people can play at one time. We do allow parties of 12, but one person has to sit out at the start of each game. Only 5 per team on the filed at one time.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF THE ARCADE GAMES AT COLISEUM X?

Four credits=$1. Games are 2-8 credits. We also have 1 hour unlimited video game play specials for members: $5 on Thu and $10 Fri-Sun.

WHAT ARCADE GAMES DO YOU HAVE AT COLISEUM X?

Four person Halo, Tomb Raider, Tokyo Drift, Hoops, Jurassic Park, World's Largest Space Invader, Air Hockey, Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, Galaga, and Claw Machines.

HOW DO I BOOK A GROUP EVENT?

You can book a standard event online or you can call us at 614-567-3020. A non-refundable deposit charged at the time of your reservation and will then be applied to your event balance.

WHAT TYPES OF EVENTS DOES COLISEUM X HOST?

We host any type of group gathering, celebration or event. We’ve been a popular choice for birthday parties, corporate team building events, bachelor and bachelorette parties, youth and student group events, and college socials.

DO I NEED AN EXACT NUMBER TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

No - as long as you know you'll have 8, we recommend booking the event so you don't lose your preferred time & date. We can easily add to the number in the party, even on the day of the event.

ARE THERE VOLUME DISCOUNTS?

We do have discounts based on the length of the party and the number of participants

IS FOOD INCLUDED?

Food is not automatically included in group packages. We want to give guests a choice, and we've found some guests plan to eat before or after the event. However, we can add food and drink to an event.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN BEVERAGES OR FOOD INTO THE FACILITY?

We do not permit outside food or drinks in our facilities. The only exception is a non-frozen birthday cake/treat. We have a wide variety of food and beverage selections available at the Café. Catering options are also available through one of our preferred caterers for special events. If someone in your group has dietary restrictions, please call in advance so we may explore some alternative options with you through our catering partners.

DO YOU PROVIDE PLATES AND UTENSILS?

Yes, we have plates, napkins, and utensils

WHAT IS VIP TIME FOR?

VIP time is designed for the group to sit in their reserved area and enjoy the birthday treat they brought in, or food and drinks from the cafe. The area is reserved for the entire duration of the party not just 30 minutes.

CAN WE BRING DECORATIONS? CAN WE HANG THEM?

Decorations are allowed, but can't be taped to any walls. We recommend table cloths and place settings/balloons if you want to spice up your reserved areas.

WHEN CAN I HAVE MY EVENT?

Coliseum X will host events any day of the week. Private events can also be hosted before we open to the general public. You may also select a time during our open hours, but keep in mind your group will participate in Open Play and will share the combat arenas with the others.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I NEED TO BE A GROUP?

The minimum number of people required for axe throwing is 5. Laser tag is a flat rate up to 10 people.

WILL WE HAVE TO PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE?

Most guests play with other people. You can reserve a private party on any day except Saturday, and we also do Facility Rentals. Private Parties (aka Priavate Sentry) is $100/hr of game play. Rates for facility rentals vary, but we can provide a quote within 48 hurs if you give us a preferred date, time and estimated number of people.

CAN WE SPLIT UP OUR GROUP BETWEEN ACTIVITES?

Please let us know what you'd like to do and we will privde a custom quote within 48 hours.

Reservations are not required. You will be able to participate in Open Play at any time. If you have a group and want private play, please explore our group options.

CAN I COME BY MYSELF, OR DO I NEED TO COME WITH A GROUP?

Combatants may come to Coliseum X individually or with a group. If you come with a group, our Sentries do an excellent job of keeping your group together.
